Maury Preservation Alliance Educational Workshops and Lectures

Maury Preservation Alliance hosts quarterly workshops and lectures to educate the public about Maury County’s history, its people and places, and to provide guidance on the care and preservation of historic buildings, cemeteries, and cultural heritage. National Trust for Historic Preservation

The National Trust for Historic Preservation is the leading U.S. nonprofit for preservation advocacy and education, offering conferences, webinars, publications, and leadership programs. 

Historic Preservation Tax Credits

The Federal Historic Tax Incentive Program encourages private sector investment in historic buildings including adaptive reuse. Properties must be 'certified historic structures', income producing or considered depreciable and follow the Secretary Standards for Rehabilitation.

The Secretary of the Interior's Standards

The Secretary of the Interior's Standards provide guidelines for the different treatments of historic properties. The four treatments for historic preservation are: preservation, rehabilitation, restoration and reconstruction. Their website offers an abundance of knowledge.

National Archives Catalog

The National Archives and Records Administration houses all the documents conducted in the United States government including places listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

Tennessee Historical Commission

The Tennessee Historical Commission is the State Historic Preservation Office (SHPO) that has state and federally mandated programs promoting historic preservation and history.

Maury County Archives

Maury County Archives  is the official repository for historical and governmental records of Maury County, Tennessee. Its purpose is to preserve, organize, and provide public access to records that document the county’s history, government, and people.

PreserveList is  a directory of historic trades professionals and companies that offer a variety of services needed in preservation projects.
